The game follows college student Ichiko Hanamaki whose brother disappeared in the town of Okunezato the year before. Okunezato is gaining a reputation as a "mystery spot" location. Ichiko's childhood friend Hino Kagutsuchi finds a website called "Okunezato Forbidden Club" where people gather to discuss the mysteries of the town. The site is hosting an offline meetup in Okunezato during summer vacation, and so Ichiko and Hino go to Okunezato to try to solve the mystery of her brother's disappearance.[1]
